This arrangement begins with the piano playing the hymn and the cello as support and the violin accenting the melody with high descant style sustained notes. The cello takes over in the second section with the violin playing counter melody. The work builds to a key change where the violin and cello switch roles and additional ornamentation is added to the melody in the violin. Half way through the the final section the violin and cello pass the melody back and forth before concluding with the violin on top and the cello a 6th below. This arrangement would work equally well as a concert piece or in a church setting. The score and a complete set of parts in included.
